Winter transfer window: three things we noticed from our side
Lessons from the winter 2025 transfer window as seen through our beta: which deals move, which stall, and what changed.
Deals that close are the simplest ones
Nothing revolutionary, but the data confirms it clearly: deals that go through are the ones where the agent and club already know each other. Files discovered during the transfer window end in nothing 9 times out of 10. The beta confirmed this with hard numbers. The window is not for discovering players. It is for closing deals that were already well advanced.
Identity verification saves time
We measured the average time between the first message and the first document exchange on the platform. When the agent's identity is verified from the start, it goes twice as fast. Not because technology speeds things up, but because trust is established from the first message. The club does not spend three days checking who they are talking to.
International deals remain difficult
Cross-border discussions often stumble on basic issues: time zones, language, negotiation customs. We saw conversations stop dead because of a misunderstanding over a legal term. We are working on contextual translation tools but it is a massive project. Football speaks a hundred languages and negotiates in none.
